Michael Bassford's Testimony

My name is Michael and I’m 35 years old, I had a good childhood and happy family but in my teenage years I searched for acceptance in drinking and taking drugs, at age 19 I joined the Royal Navy and my addiction became worse, I left the navy and started taking harder drugs like ecstasy and cocaine, it wasn’t long before I graduated to heroin and crack cocaine and I stayed addicted for the next 10 years, I spent time living on the streets and did 2 prison sentences, in November 2013 I entered the teen challenge program and my life was transformed, all the acceptance I was searching for I found in Christ and he started to change me, in 2016 I got married to my beautiful wife and we are expecting a daughter in the next few weeks, I am a manager in the YMCA in Nottingham and we go to the streets to spread the hope of what god can do.

“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” ‭‭John‬ ‭8:36‬ ‭NIV
